Locksmith Considerations by San Ramon Neighborhood

Different San Ramon neighborhoods have different locksmith service patterns. Dougherty Valley's newer tract homes almost universally use builder-grade Kwikset locks that are easy and inexpensive to rekey. The Gale Ranch community's HOA requires deadbolts on all entry doors per the CC&Rs, making new-owner rekeying particularly important.

Bishop Ranch commercial properties require ANSI Grade 1 commercial hardware rather than the residential Grade 2 or 3 hardware found in homes. Older neighborhoods like Twin Creeks may have original 1980s-era hardware that is more economical to replace than rekey. Canyon Lakes gated community gates sometimes require coordination with HOA for any exterior lock work.
